A urgent personal plea from R. Netanel Louie

Dear family, friends, community members, and fellow Jews,
The master of universe gifted our family and granted our daughter Tova, a beautiful little baby girl last Motzai Shabbat in Baltimore. The baby could not breathe on her own and was placed under oxygen. After she was stabled, she was transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was taken to NICU and placed under ECMO (life support).
After extensive testing it was found that baby Ahuva is infected by Listeria bacteria. Listeria infection is a foodborne bacterial illness that can be very serious for pregnant women. The consequences for the baby can be devastating — the baby can die in the womb or have a life-threatening infection within a few days of being born.
Baby Ahuva is in a critical condition and fighting for her life.
It was the hand of HASHEM that her mother went to labor a few weeks before her due date. Had she not given birth, the baby could not have survived the infection in womb for few more weeks.
The second miracle was that doctors at Sinai Hospital decided to transport baby Ahuva to Johns Hopkins Hospital where a team of doctors were ready to help her without knowing the severity of the condition and just based on precautions.
I beg of you to join her in her fight and shake the gate of heaven to give her a chance to live a long healthy life so she can serve her creator. We are seeking 40 individuals to commit themselves for 40 consecutive days to one of the good deeds from the list below. This is the strongest way to find favor in the eyes of the Hashem, blessed his name, and ask for Ahuva’s speedy Refuah Shelema (full recovery).
Let’s make a Tikun and show Hashem our unity and love for each other days after Tisha B’Av where lack of unity and love caused the destruction of his house. Ahuva means “friendship” and “beloved “.
She was also born a few days before Tu B’Av, a day chazal designed for Ahava, life, and building a family. Let’s beg Abba in heaven to give Ahuva bat Tova a chance to go under the chuppah one day.
May the Almighty accept our Tefilot and grant Ahuva Bat Tova a full recovery and chance to live a long life so she can serve her creator.
Please share this with as many people as you possibly can. (Please don’t share on Shabbat).
With tears and trust in Hashem,
Netanel Louie

A letter from Ahuva bat Tova

My dear brothers and sisters,

If I may, I like to finally say few words to you. In my short visit, I realized how incredible you are. You got to know me even though we never met. In your eyes I was a beautiful little girl even though you never saw me. You cared for me even though I never had a chance to care for you. You did so much for me even though I never did anything for you. You  Davened for me even thought I never had an opportunity to Daven for you. You begged Abba to give me a Refua even though I never had a chance to ask for you. You were worried about me and felt my pain all day. You loved me so much that you even changed your way of life for me. Your love was a gift as I never earned it.

YOU REALLY SHOWED ME WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ONE BEAUTIFUL FAMILY WITH ONE HUGE HEART.

I feel I really missed out on meeting you in person so I can hold your hand, hug you, and tell you how much I love you too.

Now that you revealed the real you and what you’re capable of, may I ask you that in my absence you continue to be so incredible with each other just like you were with me. To continue loving and caring for each other just like you did for me. To do for each other without expecting anything in return just  like you did for me. To Daven for each other just like you did for me. To be worried and watching out for each other just like you did for me. To continue strengthening yourself and get closer to our Abba in heaven just like you did for me.

My amazing siblings, If you grant me my wishes then I’ll know that I accomplished my mission and perhaps the reason Abba send me down for a short time to be with you. I’ll know that my short life was worth a lifetime and I’ll know that I lived up to my name Ahuva (love and friendship).

Please don’t forget me and continue to be so incredible just like you were with me.

Your little sister forever
Ahuva bat Tova ❤️

Dear friends and community members,

I am writing to provide an urgent update as of today, November 7, 2023. Our beloved Ahuva Bat Tova is in a very critical condition and is in desperate need of our collective prayers.

Ahuva’s struggle for survival has been ongoing, and we have witnessed her resilience in the face of immense challenges. Today, we are humbly requesting everyone to keep Ahuva Bat Tova in your prayers and read Tehelim for her and all sick people of Israel, asking for their complete and speedy recovery.

Our prayers have the potential to work miracles. Let us unite in our faith and hope, believing that through the power of our collective prayers, we can provide the strength and healing that Ahuva and so many Jews in Israel and around the world desperately need.

Please share this message with your family, friends, and community members to extend the circle of prayer for Am Israel and among them Ahuva Bat Tova.

Shavua tov,

Hope everyone had a beautiful Chag! I wanted to share with you a neis that happened over Yom tov. Friday night we rushed to the hospital as Ahuva’s condition rapidly deteriorated. One of the lines in Ahuva’s body clotted off the machine which was helping support her kidneys. Given her current condition, without this machine, she would not survive.

The doctors and surgeons told us that despite their many attempts they could not get the line to open up and there was nothing left for them to do. They told us this was the end, it was just a matter of hours to days…we left the hospital in the morning, davening and hoping for the best.

At one point, I turned to my husband and said – it’s unbelievable how the words of Asher yatzar are exactly playing out in Ahuva right now. In Asher yatzar we say “שֶׁאִם יִפָּתֵחַ אֶחָד מֵהֶם, אוֹ יִסָּתֵם אֶחָד מֵהֶם, אִי אֶפְשַׁר לְהִתְקַיֵּם אַפִלּוּ שָׁעָה אֶחָת” A person cannot live, even for one second, if one of the cavities are closed off. The fluid build up in Ahuva, due to a ‘closed cavity’ was threatening her life.

The rest of yom tov came and went and we did not get any calls from the hospital. After Chag we spoke with the doctors and they told us that they were able to somehow get the line to start working again and she’s back on the machine. This was a complete neis and chesed hashem!
The doctors were so certain that she wasn’t going to make it, yet HaShem once again showed us who’s really in charge.

My husband and I wanted to thank everyone who took on the Kabbalah of saying Asher yatzar with kavanah over Yom tov- this may have been what gave Ahuva another chance to live.

Ahuva is still in critical condition and this incident over Yom tov set her back a lot. If we can all continue to have kavana while saying this Bracha, it can be a huge zechus for her!

Dear Friends & Family,

Ahuva is still in ICU in stable condition. She has changed so many lives with all Tefilot and Mitzvot that many people accepted upon themselves on her behalf. Perhaps that’s why despite our wishes and hopes to see Ahuva home by now, Hashem decided that Ahuva will remain in ICU during the most important days of year so we can continue strengthening our relationship with Hashem.

Harav Eliyahu Netaneli requested that as any people as possible should make the following conditional commitment and say out loud:

“If Ahuva bat Tova comes home completely healthy, Beli Neder, I will recite נשמת כל חי (Nishmat Kol Chai) in public to praise Hashem, additionally I will recite מזמור לתודה (Mizmor Letoda) 12 times in 3 consecutive days”.

(מזמור לתודה is Perek 100 of Tehlim which is only 5 pesukim)

When you sign up to this conditional commitment you don’t need to do anything until we share the good news that baby Ahuva is coming home completely healthy and then you can either recite the נשמת כל חי in front of at least 3 people and praise Hashem for his endless goodness or attend one of gatherings that family will arrange to recite נשמת כל חי together. In either case you only start the 3 consecutive days to recite מזמור לתודה 12 times daily after you hear the good news.

Family will, Beli Neder, arrange gatherings in LA and Baltimore to say נשמת כל חי in public should Hashem grant us to see the day Ahuva bat Tova comes home completely healthy.

Please sign up now and share with your friends and family so we can get as many people as possible.

B’chasdei Hashem Ahuva’s condition has improved and is stable now.

Her blood complications was resolved miraculously over Shabbat. She remains in ICU in stable but critical condition. Please continue your Tefilot for her to come home healthy soon.

*URGENT*  *URGENT*

Ahuva is in a very critical condition. She has blood clots and internal bleeding at the same time.

Harav Eliyahu Netaneli has requested to say the following Teffila before making Kiddush tonight:

‏ ‏יהי רצון שבזכות יין של קידוש שהוא דומה לדם אז הקודש ברוך הוא ישלח רפואה שלמה לדם של אהובה בת טובה

“Should it be your will Hashem that in the merit of the wine of the Kiddush which is similar to blood that the blood of  Ahuva Bat Tova should completely heal.”

We are asking anyone who can to please accept Shabbat 10 minutes earlier this evening.

Please increase your Teffilot and your Shemirat Shabbat.

PLEASE BEG HASHEM

With tremendous gratitude and appreciation to Hashem, and to everyone who put in so much effort and dedication to doing extra mitzvot and tefilot, Baruch Hashem, Ahuva has been making progress and has been taken off ECMO (life support).

She is still in the ICU and remains in critical condition. Your continued support and heartfelt tefilot are much appreciated and needed at this critical time.

Love,
Michael and Tova

To accept a mitzvah go to the bottom of page.

Ahuva is still in stable but critical condition.

As we mark the beginning of the month of Elul, we start the 40 day period where Hashem comes down from his throne to be close to us, to hear us, and to give us the opportunity to draw closer to him. There are no more powerful days to ask Hashem than these 40 day where Moshe Rabbenu asked for Am Israel on Har Sinai.

We could not have gotten to this point if not because of your Tefillot and kabalot. We have seen miracles. PLEASE strengthen yourself in keeping more Mitzvot and asking for Ahuva’s healthy life during these days that are designated to ask for life.

Praying for the needs of another is a Segula for having one’s own prayers/needs answered. Let’s unite in strengthening ourselves before our creator at the most opportune time of the year when we all want to be written and sealed in the book of life.

Please fight for Ahuva Bat Tova

Ahuva has had very little improvement in the past couple days, and she remains in stable but critical condition on ECMO (life support).

Doctors are changing her medications and hoping that her body responds better.

Please, please keep up your Tefilot and Mitzvot. That is the only way to invoke Hashem’s Rachamim.

Barouch HASHEM Ahuva’s condition is now stable. She remains in critical condition.

Doctors couldn’t detect what caused a very dangerous complication and what made it go away. We know, it’s called “Hands of Hashem” that responds to our Tefilot and Mitzvot.

Thank you so much your love and support. Please continue till she comes home.

Ahuva is in a very critical condition.

PLEASE BEG HASHEM

Dear friends and family,

Ahuva had a setback and her condition has detirated within the past 24 hours. She remains in critical condition. Please continue asking Hashem for rachamim by your tefillot and Kabbalot for Ahuva Bat Tova to have a full recovery and come home soon.

B’chasdei HaShem, Ahuva’s condition has improved over the past couple of days and her blood infection is under control. Tomorrow the doctors will be doing a test run to see if she is ready to come off of ECMO (life support). That will be the first significant milestone in the recovery process.

The outpour of everyone’s love and support has been so encouraging during this difficult time. Please continue pouring out your heart to HASHEM for a full recovery of baby Ahuva Bat Tova. She needs our Tefilot.

With much gratitude,
Michael and Tova

Baruch HaShem Ahuva’s condition remains stable, with slight improvement. Doctors are saying that as we begin the second week of her on ECMO, now is the time we need to see improvement in her lungs. Please continue praying and and taking upon yourselves a good deed for baby Ahuva as we enter very critical week. Update on Ahuva:

A message from Ahuva’s parents.

Firstly, we would like to express our deepest hakaras hatov to the hundreds of people who are davening, taking on kabalos and storming shamayim for our precious daughter Ahuva. No words can adequately express how grateful we feel to each and every one of you.

We also want to give everyone an update on Ahuva’s status. Although her situation remains very critical, there has BH been some progress made. The doctors are happy to see small improvements, and feel like we are moving in the right direction. Ahuva has a long way to go and still remains on life support, but we feel so confident that her improvement is solely due to all the tefilos and kabalos we are all taking on. With HaShem’s help and Rachmanus, we hope to see Ahuva’s condition continue to improve.

With much love,
Michael and Tova Saghi
